The Strahov Monastery and music are inseparable. We want to convey the beauty of music to you, not only through the organ itself. We want to offer an extraordinary cultural experience thanks to the unique atmosphere of this unique historical place.
The newly established concert season at Strahov offers listeners a unique perception of the connection between the monastery and leading Czech artists. This all-new concert series showcases a new dimension of musical art and the backdrop of a unique historical environment and will provide all listeners with an unforgettable personal experience.
Leading artists will present themselves in the Basilica, the Abbey Refectory with the most beautiful view of Prague and the iconic Strahov Library.
You can look forward to Czech music artists and ensembles such as Collegium 1704, La Bilancetta or the duo of young performers Vilém Vlček and Marek Kozák.

Every Sunday from 12:00 pm you can experience something special at the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Strahov - organ improvisations performed by the world-renowned organist Vladimír Roubal. Admission to the organ half-hour is voluntary and is intended for the Strahov organ restoration project.
