The Story of the Organ at Strahov
Sacred music has always been an integral part of the celebration of the liturgy for the Premonstratensians. For centuries, the two organs in Strahov Basilica have lifted people's hearts to God and served to develop culture and art. The large organ was for a long time one of the largest in the country and became a magnet that attracted Mozart himself in 1787.
Několik přestaveb, zvláště pak úpravy z 80. let 20. století, zanechaly oba nástroje v kritickém stavu. Malé chórové varhany jsou zcela nefunkční a mlčí. Velké varhany jsou na pokraji životnosti. Vraťme společně tyto královské nástroje plně do hry.
